AEC Semi-Annual Meeting in Bahrain, 2024
The AEC’s 2024 semi-annual meeting took place in Manama, Bahrain, on the 4th of May, and was hosted by Ministry of Oil & Environment.
The meeting featured four main sessions that addressed key issues in the energy sector. The first session navigated the intricacies of investment plans and financing mechanisms for renewables in the Arab Region. The second session zoomed in on the geopolitical nuances influencing the development of renewables and electric vehicles (EVs), with a spotlight on critical minerals. We analyzed how geopolitical shifts shape the trajectory of renewable energy and EV markets. The third session provided valuable insights into the current conditions and future prospects of energy markets. Lastly, the fourth session outlined the latest energy developments in the Eastern Mediterranean region with a focus on natural gas.
With a total of 25 members and 23 participants, including 14 new club members who joined during the meeting, we extend our deepest gratitude to all attendees, speakers, and sponsors for their invaluable contributions to the success of this enlightening event! We’re also excited to announce that the next meeting will be organized in Riyadh on the 10th of December, 2024 and will be hosted by KAPSARC.
