A high-level delegation from the Arab Energy Club, led by Dr. Abdullah Al-Kuwaiz, Former Secretary-General of the Club and Former Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, met with Bahrain’s Minister of Oil and Environment, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, to discuss energy policies, research, and regional collaboration.
The delegation included Dr. Osama Al Sayegh, Vice President of the Arab Energy Club; Eng. Fuad AlZayer, a member of the Club’s Executive Committee; and Mr. Jassim Al Shirawi, Secretary-General of the International Energy Forum and a member of the Arab Energy Club. The discussions centered on fostering innovation in the energy sector, supporting renewable energy adoption, and exploring investment opportunities to drive sustainable economic growth in the region.
During the meeting, the AEC delegation introduced the Arab Energy Club to Minister Bin Daina, highlighting its role as a leading platform for energy dialogue among experts in the Arab world. The Club actively contributes to research and policymaking on key energy issues, including energy security, energy transition, and climate policy.
The delegation also expressed appreciation for Bahrain’s strong and positive relations with the Club, dating back to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2014. This partnership has allowed the Club to hold multiple meetings in Bahrain, benefiting both the Club and the Kingdom by enabling Bahraini experts to engage in high-level discussions on energy.
Finally, discussions with Minister Bin Daina explored how the Club could further enhance its relationship with Bahrain and its institutions.
